Terms of Service

1. What reframe/ui is

reframe/ui provides a Next.js component library, live documentation, templates, and account features such as bookmarks and boards ("Service"). A free tier is available to everyone; Pro unlocks additional components, templates, and updates. These Terms apply to the website, docs, saved workspace, and billing. Component source-code rights are additionally governed by our Usage License — where they conflict on code reuse, the Usage License controls for that code.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

• By creating an account, subscribing to Pro, or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country), or have a parent or guardian accept on your behalf.
• If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you can bind that company, and "you" means both you and the company.

3. Accounts

• Sign-in is handled by Clerk (email or OAuth such as Google/GitHub). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials confidential.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Do not share accounts, transfer them without permission, or create accounts by automated means. Tell us at thommysart@gmail.com if you suspect compromise.
• Free accounts may create up to 2 boards; saves remain unlimited. Limits are enforced in the product and described in-app.

4. Free and Pro plans

• Starter (Free): free components, live demos, copy-paste source, and community support.
• Pro Monthly — 15 USD/month and Pro Yearly — 12 USD/month billed yearly: all components, premium templates, weekly drops, and priority support. Prices are shown at /pricing and exclude taxes where applicable.
• Subscriptions are managed through Clerk Billing (via its payment provider). By subscribing you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
• Cancel anytime from your account billing portal — access continues until the end of the current period. See our Refund Policy for renewal, cancellation, and refund details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law, infringe IP or privacy rights, or harm minors.
• Bypass paywalls — including scraping, proxying, or redistributing Pro-gated registry files (/r/*.json) to non-subscribers.
• Resell or redistribute component files standalone, or build a competing library from them (see Usage License).
• Probe, overload, or disrupt the Service — no unauthorized scraping, brute-forcing, malware, spam, or interference with other users.
• Misrepresent affiliation with reframe/ui or remove copyright and attribution notices where required.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules or threaten the security of the Service.

6. Your content and our IP

• Your content: board names, saved selections, and anything you submit remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host and display it solely to operate your workspace (for example syncing boards across devices).
• Our IP: the site design, docs, videos, templates presentation, and the reframe/ui brand are owned by us and protected by IP law. Component code use is licensed — not sold — under the Usage License.
• Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve the Service without compensation or obligation.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on Clerk (auth and billing), Convex (database), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and media/CDN hosts. Their terms and privacy policies also apply when you interact with those layers (for example Clerk's checkout). We are not responsible for third-party services, but we choose providers with published security and DPA commitments.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your saved content at any time; deleting your Clerk account removes the link to your workspace data. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, non-payment, fraud, abuse, or legal reasons — generally with notice where practical. On termination, Pro access ends under the Refund Policy, and the Usage License's restrictions survive for code you already copied.

9. Disclaimers

The Service and all components, templates, and docs are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or error-free operation. You are responsible for testing code before production use.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, reframe/ui and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim (or 50 USD if you never paid). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they apply only to the extent permitted — statutory and consumer rights are never excluded where the law forbids it.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We ship frequently: features, pricing packaging, and limits may change. Material Terms changes will be posted here with a new date and, for significant or price changes, announced in-product or by email with reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, cancel Pro and stop using the Service.

12. General

• Contact first: email thommysart@gmail.com before filing any formal claim — most issues are resolved quickly that way.
• Severability: if any term is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect and the term is narrowed to the minimum extent necessary.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without consent; we may assign them in connection with a project transfer with notice to users.
• Governing law: these Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The formal governing law and venue will be confirmed with counsel as the business formalizes — contact us if you need this for procurement review.
